Abu Dhabi is a capital that takes the long view, from the Louvre Abu Dhabi on Saadiyat Island to the care it puts into welcoming the world. I feel a personal connection here, because my family ties reach to the United Arab Emirates. Growing up with an Austrian mother, a French father, a Spanish grandmother and an Italian grandfather taught me early that respect is the first language of any room.
For nearly twenty years I sat on your side of the table. I led the leadership academy of Europe’s largest retail and tourism group, decided which leaders rose, and booked the speakers who stood in front of them. I worked with leaders from Germany to the UK and Hong Kong, and learned that senior audiences notice immediately whether a speaker has done the homework on their culture. I always do.
Today I live in Florida and have served audiences in more than 25 countries. I’ve been married to a German for more than twenty years, so planning, preparation and patience are household values.
